with a mission to transform lives
Professional Network Association (or ‘ProNet’ as it is generally known) is a non-sectarian and ‘not-for-profit-organisation’ (NGO) registered by the Registrar General Department as a non-profit-making Company limited by guarantee (Registration No. 54,069) (see appendix for copy) and also registered with the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare as a charitable organisation (Registration No. DSW/856) (see appendix for copy). ProNet initiates and implements a variety of activities all aimed at creating wealth and reducing poverty in both poor rural and urban communities. In pursuing this commitment, ProNet provide services, either directly to communities or indirectly through district-based implementing NGOs.
ProNet has since 1994 developed working partnerships with WaterAid, UNICEF, UNDP, Plan International, ADRA, ActionAid, National Development Planning Commission, SNV, SIMAVI , Vitens – Evides, District Assemblies, Ashanti Development UK, The World Bank, USAID, Africa Development Bank, DFID, Ministry of Education, Ministries of Health, Ministry of Water Resources Works and Housing and Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA), Ghana Water Company Limited, Peace Corps, Church Based Charities and local NGOs operating in the Water and Sanitation, Education and Health sectors.

Our Mission
ProNet is a professional, performance-oriented organisation committed to poverty reduction, ecological balance, gender equity, good governance and sustainable development. ProNet provides development focused quality goods and services using participatory approaches, networking, research and advocacy to address the needs of service organisations, communities and civil society.
Our Beliefs, Values and Strategies
In keeping with the vision and mission of the organisation and to promote and facilitate the smooth development and implementation of programmed to benefit of the poor, ProNet is guided by a set of core values and principles. These values and principles also constitute the main strategies underlying programme implementation. These values and principles are Integration, Environmental Sustainability, Cost Effective and Appropriate Technology, Partnership, Gender Equity, Empowerment and Sustainability, Participation, Learning.
